Jesse arrived healthy and happy. We named him after one of the prayer partners of Aloha House. We hope little Jesse grows up to be as kind and helpful as big Jesse.
A close up of Jesse shows how good he is at sleeping. The hand mitts are a local custom here for newborns. Babies in the tropics are well covered to protect them from flying insects and other problems. Before we know it, Jesse will be wearing garden gloves, ski mitts or driving gloves, living in some far away land with his permanent adoptive parents.
The new line up of infants in the morning sun. They are are growing well, they seem quite content. We have new staff we are training, as the new rooms are filling up.
The fire Marshal gave us a training course on fire safety. It is now part of the annual Mayor's Permit process.
We installed fire alarms and added fire extinguishers on the second floor as well as emergency signs and evacuation routes.
